- Software: HeyGuru software, including updates, but excluding third-party software.
- Website: The website where HeyGuru offers the Software.
- Tutoring Session: A live online lesson between you and a tutor.
Terms and Access
- Definitions: “You,” “your,” or “Customer” refers to anyone who accesses or uses the Software and/or Services.
- Acceptance: By using the Software, you agree to the Terms and the Privacy Policy available on the Website.
- Modifications: HeyGuru may modify these Terms at its discretion. Continued use of the Software implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
- License: You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Software and Services, subject to compliance with the Terms.
- Legal Action: HeyGuru reserves the right to investigate and take legal action against any illegal or unauthorized use of the Software or breaches of the Terms.
- Access: Your right to use the Software begins on the date HeyGuru provides you with access and continues until termination in accordance with these Terms.
- Personal Information: You may need to provide personally identifying information to use the Software and Services, which will be handled per the Privacy Policy.
- Login Information: HeyGuru will provide you with a login name and password to access the Software.
Your Obligations
- Use: Use the Software at your own risk and ensure it meets your needs.
- Internet and Device Responsibility: You are responsible for your internet connection, device configuration, and Software implementation.
- Reproduction of Materials: No materials on the site may be reproduced, stored, transmitted, resold, altered, or distributed without written permission from HeyGuru.
- Copyright Infringement: Notify HeyGuru if you believe any content infringes your intellectual property rights.
Services, Registrations, and Paid Subscriptions
- Registration: Subscription Services require you to register as a member/subscriber to access them. Upon registration, you receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access the Services and the Website.
- Confidentiality: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email address and password. Notify HeyGuru immediately of any unauthorized use.
- Service Availability: HeyGuru will make reasonable efforts to ensure the Software is available 24/7 but may conduct maintenance that could interrupt access.
Charges and Payments
- Tutoring Services: Payment for tutoring packages must be made before services commence. HeyGuru may suspend or terminate access if payment is not made.
- Refunds: HeyGuru reserves the right to determine refund eligibility. Mid-term cancellations may be reimbursed for remaining sessions minus administrative fees.
Tutoring Session Cancellation Policy
- Notice: Provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you cannot attend a session. Less than 12 hours’ notice incurs a 50% cancellation fee. Notify HeyGuru as soon as possible for unavoidable circumstances.
Refund Policy
- Courses/Practice Tests: Refunds are available if you are not satisfied with the course. Refund requests must be made within 14 days.
- Tutoring Services: If unsatisfied with tutoring services, refunds are available for the remaining term.
Referral Policy
- Rewards: Referrers are rewarded for successful referrals. The referral must use your unique code and stay for 30 days without requesting a refund.
Temporary Service Suspension
HeyGuru may suspend access for maintenance or other reasons, with reasonable efforts to minimize downtime.
Termination of User Access
HeyGuru may restrict or terminate your account for violations of terms, inactivity, or unauthorized sharing of login information. Contact HeyGuru for account reinstatement.
Prohibited User Activities
You agree not to:
- Infringe on intellectual property rights.
- Transmit harmful code or spam.
- Violate others’ privacy.
- Engage in unauthorized access or fraudulent activities.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify HeyGuru against any claims arising from your breach of these terms or unauthorized use of your account.
Limitation of Liability
HeyGuru is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or Services. The total liability shall not exceed AUD $100 or the amount paid by you.
Product & Services Orders
All orders are provided “AS IS.” HeyGuru reserves the right to change fees at any time. Your right to use products/services terminates upon the expiration of the subscription period.
Non-Exclusive Access License
Purchasing HeyGuru products/services grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access them during the subscription period. Active access from multiple computers or sharing account information may result in termination.
Parents’ Involvement
Parents and guardians should guide and monitor their children’s online activities to ensure a safe experience.
User Submitted Materials
HeyGuru considers all submitted materials as non-confidential and free from proprietary claims. By submitting materials, you grant HeyGuru unrestricted rights to use them.

Trademarks
